Wedding Bell Blues: How Will Gay Marriage Effect the Election?
Op-Ed
By Libby Post
There was an earthquake in California yesterday. No homes—straight or LGBT—were destroyed. Barriers to inequality, however, were demolished when the Golden State’s Supreme Court struck down the state’s law banning same-sex marriage. I just wish the decision could have come out after Election Day. My concern is the impact this decision will have on the presidential race.

Hypocrites of the Week: Uncommitted Dem. Superdelegates
By Duane Wells
Among the big headlines of the week, calls for Sen. Hillary Clinton to exit the race for the democratic presidential nomination are most prominent. But instead of all the chatter about what it might take to get Hillary Clinton out of the race, more attention should be focused on why the remaining uncommitted democratic superdelegates have made it possible for Clinton to keep her campaign alive.

Note to Hillary Clinton: The Singing Fat Lady is in the Wings
Op-Ed
By Christopher Lisotta
If you believe in media narratives (sometimes a very dangerous thing to do) Sen. Hillary Clinton’s quest for the White House has come to an end. But just hours after narrowly winning in Indiana and getting clocked in North Carolina, Clinton apparently chose to ignore the math and headed to West Virginia. A Democratic Party divided, 'The person best able to unify the party is Senator Clinton.'

Hypocrite of the Week: Rush Limbaugh
By Duane Wells
Rush Limbaugh is not a hypocrite because he masterminded ‘Operation Chaos,’ an attack strategy that simply exploits the democrats laissez-faire attitude about who is allowed to vote in their party’s primaries and caucuses. Limbaugh is a hypocrite because he has intentionally attempted to manipulate the 2008 race for the White House under the guise of wanting to do what’s best for America. Talk about a contradiction.

Indiana & North Carolina Primary Results – Same Story, Different Night
Op-Ed
By Duane Wells
On the campaign trail in North Carolina last week, Hillary Clinton said last night’s primaries could be a ‘game changer’. They weren’t. After his loss in the Pennsylvania, Barack Obama called Indiana’s primary a ‘tie-breaker.’ It wasn’t. Instead Clinton won Indiana, Barack Obama won North Carolina. So today we yet again have another split decision and I’m starting to feel like Bill Murray’s character in the film Groundhog’s Day.

Rev. Wright Just History Repeating: They Wanted King to Shut Up Too
Op-Ed
By Jasmyne Cannick
On the heels on Barack Obama supporters urging to Democratic presidential hopeful to distance himself totally from Rev. Jeremiah Wright, openly gay critic and commentator Jasmyne Cannick urges the Reverand to go on speaking the truth. There is never a wrong time to discuss problems surrounding race and class.

Is The Tide Really Turning Against Barack Obama?
Sunday Op-Ed
By Duane Wells
In a week when he should have been focused on getting his campaign back on track ahead of Tuesday’s primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, Barack Obama's campaign was once again driven to distraction on the campaign trail. Recent polls show Sen. Hillary Clinton gaining on him in North Carolina, Indiana and on a national level. But does all of this mean that the tide is turning against Barack Obama? Maybe. Maybe not.

Hypocrite of the Week: CNN Contributor Roland S. Martin
By Duane Wells
CNN contributor Roland S. Martin finally went too far in his gyrations to leap to Barack Obama’s aid. In dueling comments about the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright made less than 24 hours apart, Martin contradicted himself and his months of commentary on the Wright controversy and wound up looking absurdly partisan and, of course, patently hypocritical.
